Afraid to spray wasp spray in it cause it's doing awesome... with 20 inches rain I can move the humming bird feeders,, I can spray the plant but it's really thick.will the spray kill The vine???

I tried wasp spray and it never works well anyway. If the hummingbirds have relocated because of the wasps (smart birds!) your priority is to get rid of the nest first , THEN worry about the vine (seriously!). This is what I did------- (now the decision is TOTALLY yours...but it worked for me)---- I poured straight laundry bleach into a kid's Super Soaker (giant squirt gun) and sprayed the nest from at least 25 feet back. Within minutes the nest disintegrated and wasps dropped out dead....some did fly away though so stand back. The nest finally fell to the ground and we hosed it down then burned it. IF YOU KEEP THE SUPER SOAKER make sure you soak it under water for a few hours so there is no more bleach...don't want ANYONE to be injured from this!

Great post from Fiddledd224. I would just add one thing. My experience with yellow jackets is that they tend to come back and build a new nest in the same place. Keep an eye out so you can ward them off early.
