I am wanting to put a vanity in my small bathroom but there is a heater/ air conditioner vent in the way. I currently have a pedestal sink and i am desperate for storage.

Ask you local heating and A/C company if they can fabricate a vent extension so the heat and ac air will exit from under the vanity. Had to do it in my kitchen.

This is not always a simple move. It needs to be blocked off and a new supply register and boot cut in to the duct.

Another possibility.... Which can work in some circumstances.... Is to modify the cabinet toe-kick so that the air can come out the toe-kick.

You can buy clear plastic vent hoods that deflect the heat in a different direction. If you buy a vanity or an old dresser on feet, you wouldn’t have to move the vent at all. You may need a carpenter and a heating contractor. This would make a good project with pictures for Hometalk.com. ☺️
