Painted bathroom counters

Becky
by Becky
I painted my uuugly bathroom countertop using acrylic paint and a sponge. I first sanded to rough up then laid a coat of zinzer primer. I then painted a layer of black paint. I used a small sea sponge and started layering on 3 colors of brown then a pearl cream. After I got it to look like I wanted I added about 15 (ugh!) layers of polyacrylic. I did this over a year ago and it's still perfect. If it can stand up to the trials of a 16 year boy... I think it could last a looong time! It was so easy!
