I have a yellow magnolia that has not bloomed the last 2 years. Why. ?

Beat it or rather just smack it a bit. Shakes the roots. Had one that didn't bloom. Husband came home drunk and hit it with the car. Bloomed almost before our eyes.

It's possible that it set buds too early and then there was a freeze which killed them. It also may need some nutrition. Try fertilizing it with a bloom fertilizer. Next year, keep an eye out for buds and if there's a possibility of freeze, place some protection over the bush, if it's possible.

Has it bloomed before in the same location? may need to move to a different location...
