How to Turn Old Table Legs Into Beautiful Candle Sticks
I had these old table legs laying around for quite some time, kept saying I'll use them for something. That something never came and they always seemed to be in the way. One day, while moving them out of my way, yet again, I saw them in a different light! These would make gorgeous candle sticks!
I removed all of the screws and cut them down to three different sizes, being sure the bottoms all had the same design. Using 150 grit sandpaper, I sanded the cut edges smooth, then used my trusty E6000 and glued a terracotta saucer to each end of the leg.
Then the fun part, I painted away! I used regular latex paint mixed with calcium carbonate to make chalk paint. The mint green color is a mis-tint from home depot (not actual talenti, they just make great storage containers for my homemade chalk paints) and the white is pure white from Sherwin Williams.
Once the 2 coats of paint was dry, I added the antique gold and gold leaf rub-n-buff to add the extra glam! Topped with pink candles and these look stunning!

Hoping to try this. Need very tall candle sticks for mantle. The ones I have seen are really expensive. This project is worth a try.
