Lots of people do this. One thing to consider is your location. How are you going to insulate it and heat or cool the shed? It can all be done provided you have the budget to do so. Once you pass those hurdles, the decorating part is easy. Here are a few sites to get you started.

Running electricity to a shed is going to require an electrician. If you want to run on battery power, then get a Marine battery with a solar charger and consider an inverter. Laptops are fine with batteries, printers are not.
If your climate is such that you can work out there with no insulation and no heating-air conditioning, then that’s great.
