How do I go about finishing my hardwood flooring?

My living room hardwood has been finished but attaches at the door way to my office flooring which has not been finished. The living room has a dark stain and there is no stain on the office.

if matching the color is a concern you may need to sand down the one that is finished so you can stain them together. otherwise this tutorial should help you get started.
You should be ok if you get the same stain., then finish your floor as the other one
