What type of roof? You can buy shingles and remove the damaged ones then replace new ones.

Make sure you know where the leak is coming from. In order to do that, you will need to go into your attic when it’s raining. Water will flow downhill, so you need to follow it to where you see it coming in. Mark it with a sharpie because you won’t find it when it dries out. Now you have options. Most leaks will come from something that has penetrated the roof deck, vents, etc. It may be that the caulking has reached its life, or the boot has cracks in it. TOH has a great video on installing bathroom fans, in it, they show how to properly place a boot. Could be that it blew in and it’s not a norm, wait for the next rain. Could be around flashing, which would be a caulking thing, so remove, clean, recaulk. Could be downspouts and gutters need cleaned and the water backed up coming under the lower shingles or metal panels. If you’re going into your attic, morning will be coolest. Take a flashlight. Walk only on the rafters, do not walk in between, you and the sheetrock will fall through. You can check also by running a hose but you need someone outside working with you. And if you go on a roof, make sure the ladder extends far enough that you can safely get on and off and some9ne knows you are on the roof and will check on you. Don’t grab any lines if you fall, my cousin did, got electrocuted but the sudden stop when he hit their building and ground started it back up.
