Need to draw up floor plans, check your local building codes, interview contractors.
Look on line for ideas, just Google. Have a firm idea of what you want so you can convey the same information to all the contractors you interview. Having a vision board or binder is not a bad idea. Have a realistic budget with a healthy contingency fund. You never know what is going to happen once you start opening up walls.
