Hill is small but I have no real idea what to put on it. Also where would I find a couple of young people to assist me? I'm having some trouble with my back.
You could interview a landscape service, they would tell you what they would do for what price and then you could follow the suggestions and do the work yourself.
You could do raised flower beds using landscape timbers, railroad ties or edging from Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.
Hi, Well the best thing you can do is to employ a Garden Designer who will give you a Plan and a Planting list and could even arrange to have some or all of it done for you. Or you could make a list of the things you would like to see in your garden and what you wish to use your garden for, then make a plan of the shape and set about placing the things on the plan and see if it works for you. If it does, start making it happen - I've designed from scratch everyone of my gardens, even those I inherited and those ruined gardens after the builders have left etc. I'm in my 70's and still doing it now..........Including all the work ...........It is so worth it in the end.
Make a plan for what you want, first on paper. Like where and what kind of seating area, or eating area, where do you need shade, be sure to get trees that don’t drop nasty stuff,or roots that take over the yard. Do you want mostly fuss free ( no grass, or very little) use pots, Ross has great prices on pots in the spring. Do you need privacy?.... do you have Pintrest? Tons of great ideas there.
