How to Propagate Spider Plants From Their Baby Offsets

Spider plants make a great indoor plant and can be moved outside in the summer time. They have a lovely cascading effect when put in basket planters.
And plants for free! They are so easy to propagate from their babies. My website post has a step by step tutorial showing how to do this.
My gorgeous mother plant had babies with babies of their own. I'll use them to make my new planter.
Their delicate flowers look like miniature lilies
Those roots are just crying out to be placed in soil
There will go in a border. They will come back next year even in my zone 7b garden!
Easy peasy. This plant is a cinch to propagate.

One of mine survived a house fire and now is almost 20 years old.

I had a baby spider clump and I started it in a vase of water and then to a small planter. It's been over 2 years now and I know I need a bigger pot for my plant. I love the way spider plants grow. Gorgeous 😀 I hope my plant takes to the new pot....
