Look for eather a tree with no lites or a tree with purple or green or orange add only Halloween garland ornaments only Halloween if you can’t find a tree skirt use a hollowed tablecloths

I think the key to making it look 'Halloweeny' is to hide or disguise the green branches. Here's some more ideas.

I made my Halloween tree from a garage sale christmas tree and spray painted it black matte. Make sure to get between the branches. Purchased ornaments from the dollar store and made some of my own. Used a cardboard witches hat from Michaels, put a hole in the bottom to mount for a tree topper. My granddaughters loved it so much I gave it to them. Alot of fun to put together.
