Make A Cute Autumn Banner

I looked everywhere online for a cute Autumn banner for my Fall mantel, but couldn't find one. Rather than spending more time looking for one, I decided to make a banner with supplies I already had. I think I spent less time making it than I did looking for one.
I first used some printer paper to make a pattern.
I traced the paper pattern onto some cardstock because it would be easier to trace onto the burlap fabric.
Here, you can see the triangle pattern traced onto the burlap fabric.
This is the finished banner!
I folded over the widest part of the triangle, put a jute string in the fold, then glued the burlap with hot glue. I then printed large letters onto cardstock, then cut them out and glued them onto the front of the burlap triangle.
Here's the finished project! You can see more details of how to make the banner on my blog. You can also see my Fall mantel.
Suggested materials:
  • Burlap fabric
  • Cardstock
  • Jute string
