Hi Mygirl. I'm Cindy. When your strawberry plants have been harvested completely, cut them back to the soil. Remove all the plant debris. Leave the roots intact in the soil. Then cover them with lawn clippings, mulch, or even cardboard would work. Put some large rocks on top of the cardboard to keep it in place. It's all about protecting the roots. Then leave it alone until next Spring. I hope you find this info helpful.
