How to stop squirrels from digging holes and damaging my penninals
See if this helps.
Hi Cra: Those squirrels. They are busy this time of year:) There are a couple of things you can do. One is to put lava rocks around your flowers. Squirrels and other animals don't like walking on them. Or, you can can make a mixture of 16 oz of water and a bottle of Oil of Clove or Clove Oil, same thing, in a spray bottle. Mix it well and spray it around your plants. It smells nice, but tastes horrible. It's non-toxic, so it won't hurt anything or any one. You can buy the oil at any candy making store or your local grocery store may carry it. It's about 2 inches tall and only costs a couple of bucks. Good luck!
Next time you go to the hairdresser ask her for the floor sweepings of cut off hair. I add this on top of the holes where I have planted bulbs and they don't get dug up. They have sensitive little noses and it will smell of human so they will avoid it.
I don’t really think so. The canines are natural predators. I went to Petsmart groomers and they were happy to give me bags and bags full. I put them in produce netting bags and hung them in my fruit trees. Also staked them to the ground in my vegetable beds. Ask the groomers for dirty hair so it’s not heavily perfumed and still smells of the animal.
Urine might help keep them away! It works for deer!
Some one told me once to out line the garden with pepper. It's supposed to keep a few different animals out of the garden.
Or put out a bird/squirrel feeder away fro. That area.
