Is chalk paint an appropriate choice for kitchen cabinets?
I have oak cabinets I want to paint. I have heard there is less prep time with chalk paint. But I want my cabinets to look better than they do now. Hardware is on some of the doors, but not all, so I am planning to remove all handles and pulls. The previous owner didn't get them even or on the same side of the cabinet doors. This means I will have to fill in holes. I was thinking chalk paint might hide the imperfections, especially if I antique them.

During Hi,. Use high gloss paint. Paint the drawers and cabinets on a flat surface. This avoids streaking and peeling. Roll it on, and paint the grooves with a brush.

Hi, Yes, chalk paint but make sure you seal it, they make a paint on matte that coats without producing a shine.
