How do I make a plant cover?
I need a cover that is lightweight and can be secured against the wind. I prefer it to be made of transparent material for the winter. I had one made of wood with plastic cover, but it is too heavy for me to move Area needed to cover is about 5 x 5

How do i get rid of frogs off our covered patio.
I know they eat other insects but they leave poop all over. One type of green frog clings to our windows and siding.
It depends if the area has sides to it, like an elevated garden with wood walls. What about that plexiglass or vinyl clear stuff with a light wooden
frame around it? or even heavy plastic outdoor sheeting held up above the 5x5 space and fastened to 2X2's with a pointed end driven down at each corner or you can use metal fence posts around the area then tie down the heavy plastic sheeting. Just an idea. I don't know if you get heavy snow or winds.
Hi Dene. I'm Cindy. If you want the material to be transparent, you could use heavy duty plastic sheeting (or even runner rugs used to protect carpet) and place something heavy on it to keep it secure. Perhaps bricks, pavers, or even large rocks around the perimeter would keep it in place.
Hi Dene. You could build a lightweight frame with Pvc pipes and a clear tarp with grommets and zip ties. Use ground anchors which you can leave in year round to attach the frame in each corner.
Thank you for your suggestion! I never thought of grommets! I’m just wondering how they will hold up against the wind. Have you had luck with that?
Deme, it sounds like the transparent heavy plastic sheeting with pvc piping is the way to go. My only suggestion is to use large grommets with tent pegs to anchor it. I think that might help to secure it. It your grommets aren't big enough you could use plastic rope (Dollar Store) through the grommet and then use the pegs to anchor it. Good luck.
