Not easy. Make sure to use a big, thick paint roller and paint both ways to cover. You will use a lot of paint.
You need to remove it befor painting, easy but messy.
Easy to paint. But in the future, scraping off painted popcorn ceiling is a bugger!
Another thing to keep in mind is some will come off, and the ceiling will look less popcorny with each painting. Beverly is so right, it's horrid to remove after painting. In the case of really old houses there might be paper underneath, don't paint, the glue releases and will fall down. :)
Use a thick knap roller.
