How do you upgrade kitchen areas and bathroom areas with air stone ?

Hi, I would love to upgrade my kitchen area and the bathroom area with air stone and the wood planks. What preparations are needed along with what materials are needed. This would be my first major upgrade project and I can’t afford to mess it up. Thank you.
