How to build a stone deck off of house?
I am looking to make a stone deck off of the living room and back door of house. I have the cement forms to make the different stones I would like to do for the deck. The question I have is that there is 2 huge evergreens by the house with roots that go out from it. Would I have to take the evergreens down or is there a way to bypass the roots of these evergreens as they are over 75 years old and provide excellent shade for the house. I would like to have the cement forms to be eventually even with the ground, so it would not be a raised deck. Any helpful hints on how to go about this would be great. I know that I have to dig down and level off the dirt, pack it down, then add sand for shifting.
