Which is better on hardwood floors Tung oil or polyurethane ?

Stripping a hardwood floor, weighting which would be a better finish. Love the look of tung oil but does it protect as well as a poly finish?

Polyurethane actually sits on top of the wood, Susie. It will protect the floor better than tung oil.
In my opinion, a poly sealer will last longer and take more abuse. Tung oil has to be reapplied as often as it is cleaned. Best wishes, ☺️

Poly. Tung oil or any oil absorbs into the wood but will migrate out. Also will need to be redone often. Will not hold up well.
