Peed or sprayed? If they peed they may have a UTI =/ if they sprayed... good luck If you are looking to get out the smell I would recommend Vinegar (I hate the smell of it but it does work) What type of fabric?

  • It depends on the type of material the rug is made of, but for pet stains in general, we like Nature's Miracle.

The product named “Scout” works somewhat better than natures miracle. A combination of both however will help. You will need a few applications of both.

I second the vote for Nature's Miracle. Be sure and test it on the fabric first. You need to take it up and air it out. Sun works too on both sides.

Get this! It is amazing & has not failed me yet. Had a section of carpet in an unfrequented corner the cat was using as his potty spot for a while before I discovered the stench.😼 Used this as directed with a Bissel carpet vac twice and no more odor! Be sure you DO NOT USE HOT OR WARM WATER because it will set in stains & odors! Cold only. You may want to color test a spot on your rug first, but I’ pretty sure it’s safe. Hope it works as well for you as it did for me.

A 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water. Spray on then blot. If stained spray with 16 oz water mixted with 1 tsp dish soap until damp, then spray with 50% water/50% hydrogen peroxide and sprinkle with baking soda. Use your hand or a cloth to make sure the baking soda has coated everything. Allow to dry overnight then vacuum or shake outside to remove baking soda.
