I hope you meant bonemeal...bloodmeal has way too much nitrogen in it for flowering plants. As for the bonemeal, sprinkle it into the hole and stir it up slightly, then place the bulb on top. For some reason the bulb roots do not seek the bonemeal like they seek or grow towards moisture. I read that in my organic master mag eons ago..
