How do I make sloping front yard look better?

My front yard slopes downhill. Next week I am removing a tree stump. But whoever lived here did not water the sod, so I am taking it out. It is brown. Also I want to rearrange the bricks going up to small front porch from existing area to the street. I need ideas.

Your choices are innumerable, particularly if you’re willing to give up grass.

Your choice of easy perrenial plants depends on your location, love of color, and whether you have a deer problem.

Whether you want stones or bricks to terrace, or not terrace at all, and just use ebullient plantings purchased on sale.

I personally love the overcrowded English garden look, with low shrubs and pops of seasonally bright flowers.

Wherever you live, your county or college has a Agricultural Extension service. Google that, along with your town and zip, and find theumber and email for great advice about the best planting’s for where you are, as in soil and weather.

For more inspiration, go to Pinterest and search for landscaping on a slope. Make a fresh pot first, because there are days of inspirational photos and advice.

Buy gardening gloves and have fun.

Check out sites for things like Better Homes and Gardens (BHG.com), they have the best layouts for suggestions gathered from all over the place and many people.
