How do we lower our deck where we removed our aboveground pool?

Our deck is a drop off since we had to remove our aboveground pool. I have an idea what would look great but don't have the knowledge how to do it! Lower the deck that was the same height as the pool. Remove that deck and make stairs (same height as lower deck) going down to the yard where the pool was. The pool was 30' L x 15' W.

I see paver's going out to a fire pit. We do not have the knowledge or funds to hire anyone. We are both disabled, soooo?

Thank you for any advice...

If pavers are too much for you to handle how about outing sod down instead? Would give you a nice grassy area for a table and chairs. Lowering the deck is difficult. Buy stringer for stairs and runners for steps. Stores will cut to size.

You can also look around for cement blocks. These can be set on the side and used as steps. You can paint them and they will conform to the curvature better than stringer steps. I would build a burn table in the center with eating area around it.

Thank you for your ideas. Our major problem is lowering our deck that led up to the pool...so it will be even with the lower deck.
