Ideas for a mink coat

Not too fancy please as I’m a senior, but if I undid it, would fur start falling everywhere?

What do you mean by ideas for a mink coat? What do you mean by undoing it? Shorten it?
It was handed down to my mum .... size small/medium and my mum gave it to me. I can’t even get my arm into the sleeve. I’m a large. Nobody else in the family wants it.
There are sewers who make teddy bears out of them or purses.
How about a sleeveless 3/4 length vest? maybe even with a scarf attached to the top edge. You could have it reworked at a local fur store, or call around some seamstresses to see if any have any experience working in fur. You could save those sleeves to be the underarm gaskets to widen the coat.
