How to build small slanted roof?
I am an older woman but I am pretty fit and I think I can do this with a little instruction. I have a chicken run that is 4 ft wide by 12 ft long. I want to build a simple slanted roof. I have looked a tin and plastic panels. They are light enough for me to handle. Is it ok to have the ripples going horizontally rather than vertically? The way the roofing runs those ripples would have to be horizontal or I would have to buy more panels and multiple cuts which would seem more likely to leak, I was just going to buy a piece of plywood to raise the roofline in the front but how tall (width?) should that 12 ft of wood need to be. And how many supports will I need and what size should they be. My ignorance on this I know is glaring but I do know how to follow directions if anybody can give some to me

I’m sorry that I can’t help with but you should maybe talk to a pro because of sno you don’t want it to collapse.
Question: Is there currently a roof and you just want to raise it, or no roof at all yet? The quick answer to running the corrugated panels horizontal is no, vertical so rain water can run down and there may be a problem with snow load.
Do you live where you get a great deal of snow? If so you will want to make sure the roof is strong enough to hold up to the snow.
