Paved driveway repair?
Looking for solutions to repair small and medium cracks in an asphalt driveway. I think filling each crack would be very time consuming and not a great overall appearance. Any new products out there?

Repairing broken concrete patch on driveway
Any advice (products/process/etc) on patching/repairing this broken concrete patch on our driveway? Thank you!
Hi Lv,
Yes the process is time consuming and you'll always see where the cracks were even after you put a sealer over the entire driveway after filling in the cracks and letting the patch dry. There is a product that is sort of like an expansion joint to help fill in larger cracks but the most important work is done before you start filling anything. The cracks must be completely cleaned out by chipping of any weak pieces then using an air compressor to blow everything out. The only way it won't be time consuming would be to hire a paving company to do it for you. They might be able to top coat it once the cracks are repaired to give you a better looking surface. Or you could have them remove the current asphalt, adjust the area underneath and resurface the entire driveway. Unfortunately almost all driveways eventually crack due to the movement of the earth underneath. Products available today are better than they used to be but you still have to put in the work if you want to do it yourself. :( Wishing you the best. -Linda
Thank you Linda!
Hello there, I have the same problem and am in the process of calling Driveway repair companies to come and give us the right solution for us..........
not a DIY fix ... there are some things that require Professional approach -- simply because of equipment and products... not always so much the 'effort' in an of itself ...
That is a good point.. I wouldn't mind having a professional company take care of this but they only want to tar the cracks and then seal the entire driveway. which I have had done.. Still doesnt look that great.. I was hoping there is a now product that would do a better job..
They sell a big 5 gallon bucket you use a squeegee to put it on
