How to replace old bathtub in very small bathroom?

I live in an older home, built in 1965, and there was no shower at the time it was built, just a tub. Someone later converted it into a shower/tub combo but the plumbing and surround have leaked and weakened the floor and destroyed the wall behind the surround.
How can I remove the old cast iron tub from my 5' X 7' bath with a 24" door and replace it with a new walk-in shower? I don't even know where to begin!

Cast iron tube would have to be broken into pieces to remove. It would be a shame if it’s a claw foot tube to break it. But this is the easiest way to remove it. Sledgehammer , ear protection and goggles.
Sorry to replace the tube with a walk-in shower sounds great. If this is a DIY then please make sure the floor is repaired and reinforced. Big box stores like Lowe’s and the other in your area have kits to install and people to advise you on best way to repair floors and walls. here is one remodel in time lapse, I have one issue with this, I would have put in waterproofing before putting up the panels and shower pan.
