Turn A Planter Into A Plug-In Pendant Light

This particular plug-in pendant light came about when we were visiting my parents. My mom had this planter from the yard in her back porch. She wasn’t sure what she was going to do with it, but I immediately saw it as a plug-in pendant light.
As a planter, the base is at the bottom, but once I saw the light potential, the base would become the top. Not only did I love the look of it this way, but the base being on the top gave the perfect spot for the bulb and the rest of the “fixins” for the light.
I spray painted the planter black before we added the light.
Now……. we have bought many light kits in our day to make these kinds of fixtures, but we have learned that we can save a ton of money picking up cheap lamps and lights at yard sales and thrift stores and repurpose the light part into the new fixture. Otherwise, you can find a {aff} light kit inexpensively online.

Creating a plug-in pendant light couldn’t be simpler. There are so many different things you can turn into a light using this method and you will always come away with a custom light fixture for your home.
Here is the live video of how we turned this planter into a pendant light:

So, where do we get our next of those to make the process object with? Never seen one before and doesn't look like it would be easy to find anywhere. Very confused as to how this will help us do a project if we can't get what we need to do it with.
