Are your coffee mugs taking up space on your countertops or overflowing in your cabinets? Check out how you can DIY a beautiful wall display to store them all and admire then while you're at it!
Either build your own custom frame or head to a craft store like Hobby Lobby and grab a pre-built one! (just make sure you know the measurements of your metal bars before you head off to the store). They have all different shapes, sizes, and colors available.
Paint or stain your frame if you built it. I like to use miniwax stain and an old rag or tshirt. Just wipe the stain on and let it dry. After the paint dries you can move on.
Drill your bars into the frame. (the kit comes with everything you need)
I've seen the kits at Ikea and even Amazon.com.
This is what the kit looks like without using a frame.
Hang your frame on the wall using picture hangers, monkey hooks, or some type of wire. Hang up some coffee cups and sit back and enjoy! You may even have a collection you want to diplay.
You can also decorate your mug display if you would like with some greenery, wreaths, ribbon, etc.
I'm still working on my Rae Dunn collection to fill my display up.
