You can totally transform your space with a simple rustic ladder and some new chandeliers. This is my favorite DIY project ever!!! You can totally DIY this yourself using only one chandelier(the middle one). If you'd like to have 3 you will either need to wire it up yourself or hire an electrician.
Here is the before picture of my dining room. I felt like it was missing something. You can easily update yours too by falling these steps.
Build, or find, an old ladder to use as your base. You may want to leave it as is, but I chose to paint mine white with chalk paint.
Attach the ladder to the ceiling studs using swag hooks and chain. Make sure you get the ones suited for the appropriate weight. It is also helpful to use a stud finder before securing the swag hooks. We were able to use the excess chain from the chandeliers for this step.
Attach the middle chandelier to the ceiling. Admire your work!!! Isn't it beautiful!!!
PS... If you want to hang 3 chandeliers like me you will need to hire an electrician to wire them all together as this can be a tricky process.
