Desiring to cover dented aluminum wall at least cost. Dents are up to 5' high and the wall is 123 sq ft across. My question is what materials & how much will be needed to complete the project?

I had a friend who took dents out of his car fender with a plunger

Thanks for your response, I should have stated that the rivets are loose as well. I would like to cover the total area, without costing a lot.

Try the plunger, sounds like a good idea, but usually a dent is there forever. The only other thing is to reside in vinyl.

Mae Hi,. Try a kitchen plunger to pull out the dents. If that don't work, try a tiolet plunger. Aloha!

You can buy sheets of aluminum siding and rivet it in place. Or re-rivet what you have, bondo it and repaint. You can use a DTM acrylic paint on aluminum. It should have aluminum primer on any bare metal or bondo

Since you want to recover. The most economical way to do it is remove the siding and sell it for scrap and recover in vinyl siding. Saves on repainting too.

I will be looking into this suggestion as well as some others, to see which is more affordable and that I can hopefully do. Thanks

Since I can't see the style of your house, I'll just throw this your way anyhow..... You could cover the area with T1-11 and some exterior trim (painted to match the house) as a tall wainscoting. It will add texture and protect from future damage. Use a treated 2x4 along the base to prevent water damage.

If you're not afraid of repainting, I'd fill the dents with a QUALITY auto body plastic. From experience, a $35 can will go a lot farther than a $25 can because you use less of the good stuff. Mix, fill, sand, primer and paint. FYI Limo center doors (the stretch part) are often aluminum and this process works just fine for them. As for the rivets: Is the siding loose? Could you get a seam sealer/silicone underneath the loose parts?

Thank you for your answer, the siding are loose and the rivets will not stay in place. I have come up with a final solution and I will be taking care of it soon. Again thanks.
