How to create recipe storage?

Loose leaf notebooks like they use in school? One for each category. Or file folders, one for each category. You can cover each page with the clear sheets also. Not sure why they need to be on the floor though.

Hi Bonnie. You can use one of those plastic portable file boxes. The top has a handle and swings open. I use one for my papers that I need to access often. Its big enough, but yet small enough where it doesn't take up a lot of space.

The binders work great for me. Especially good for shared recipes that you print out. My favorite recipes go in the binders on a small antique bookcase. The rest go in a milk crate in folders in hanging file folders. FYI hanging file folders hang nicely in milk crates. The nice thing about the milk crate is that its light enough to take in the living room so I can peruse my collection while I watch tv. Or shove in the closet when company comes.

I use several binders for my recipes. One for main dishes, one for sweet treats, and one for soups and apps. They are then divided with binders by category. I have a lot of recipes - you might be able to use just one binder. Get the clear sheets and you can easily put the recipes in the sleeves with minimal effort. Hope this helps. Hugs, Holly

If you use a crate or file box, then you can use hanging file folders with tabs to mark your sections. Since you don't have the cabinet or shelf space, maybe you have some wall space? You could consider hanging three ring binders. Or, better yet, use wall pockets (like in an office).
