How do I give my restrooms a updated look without braking the bank ?
I want to do minor details that will give my restrooms an updated fresh look I’m not a millionaire. Paint, new mirrors and fixtures and shower doors. It really doesn’t sound minor but at least I don’t have to gut it out. Please help.

Here is the MASTER bathroom of the house we are in process of purchasing, any suggestions on how we can update with the current tiles?
Paint, mirrors, faucets, flooring, and countertops are always a quick upgrade - depending on budget and skills.
Replacing an old faucet with a current one is usually fairly easy to install and packs a lot of punch for its size as far as giving the room an updated look. As it is something your hands always touch, you eye is sure to go there quickly.
Also, switching out the old light fixture with a modern style and LED bulbs will also contribute greatly to the whole room looking brighter and fresher.
You can spray paint the fixtures a matte black for a modern look. Give them a light sanding first! If your vanity is wood, you can also paint it! There's countertop paint to transform your countertop also. Paint the upper half of the walls and the bottom half apply the removable subway tile wallpaper you can find at Target. These are just a few budget friendly upgrades you can do!
Paint will fix a lot! You can check for new mirrors, fixtures, and shower doors at your local habitat for humanity or check craigslist. Also Big Lots or Big Ollies for good deals too.
Hi Jacky. I'm Cindy. I agree that paint will give you the biggest bang for your buck. I saw in your pictures that your lighting is above the sink. If there's nothing hanging from the ceiling, you can hang a chandelier that will put a ton of drama in the room. I was surprised to find that one can be purchased rather inexpensive. I love the idea of taking a walk thru Habitat for Humanity Restore to find items for very affordable prices. And, last but not least, flooring. We just changed the floor in our bathroom. We put down peel-and-stick tiles right over old tile. Came out great. These are all effective and inexpensive changes. Your bathroom will look like it should be in a magazine. Hope this helps. Good luck.
