Kitchen Updo: Chippy Cottage Railing

We are in the process of updoing our kitchen to cottage charm. We've lightened up the backsplash from dark to light and bright.
The next step in our updo was to add a charming railing we found over two years ago.
It was old, chipping paint and a whole lot of character going on! Exactly what we were looking for.
We hired a carpenter to "size" it to fit. It was a quick project and he did a fabulous job. It was money well spend.
It had to be raised to meet building code.
We just love how it turned out!
Also provides a great ledge for plants
