Learn how to create these freeform resin coasters that have a honeycomb texture, in this DIY craft tutorial.

I mixed one ounce of resin - per coaster. I split the ounce into three cups and added different colors of pigment powders.

I poured it on the silicone mat, which is a hot pad. I added all three colors.

I took my lighter and popped the bubbles.

I let it cure for 12 hours before peeling it off the mat.

Then , I repeated it with different colors.

I had pink pigment, blue microbeads and one that remained clear.

Here they are completed. The cool thing is that the honeycomb pattern shows through.

These are great coasters that can be customized to match any home decor!

Here is a mixed-media coaster project you might enjoy!

Love the project. Are there different kinds of resin? If so what is the best type to use? Also can you color the resin with acrylic paint?

I'm confused. You said in the directions that you used resin. But in the materials list, there is microbeads, no resin. Are you melting microbeads to use as resin?

Could you put in a photo? Kid School pictures?
