Christmas cactus needs help!

How do I prevent segments of leaves dropping off from my Christmas cactus! Some say it’s too much water and others say not enough. What is correct with watering?

The key is consistency. Small amounts every week. Keep it moist, but not wet.

I have a watering meter...got from Amazon for $19.00 and use that to test my houseplants. I find that my Christmas Cactus does not need watering as much as some of my other plants. Right now I have two beautiful ones and hope they bloom this year.
Before I killed mine with too much water, I watered my Christmas cactus once a week. Don’t do that. 😂
I do it the old fashioned way. Stick my fingers in the dirt, about 2" down. Dry, give it a drink. Damp, check again in a few days.
