What could I do with this old crate in my home?

I found this old crate and I really love it, but does anyone have ideas on how to repurpose it for my home without ruining the look?

  • This is awesome! I would put some glass bottles in it with some dried flowers. Or you could really just leave it as is and display it next to other items in your house on a console table. It is such a great piece as it is. Have fun!

I love these ideas, but would use the battery operated candles to be safe for the one.

  • Hang it on the wall and display tiny items in the sections. Or use in bathroom for all sorts of supplies.

Great find! I like it too.

Spice rack in the kitchen or pantry. Shelf for collectables anywhere. Holder for small planted succulents, horizontal or vertical on patio.... So useful. I love it!

Spice rack. Hold collections of small items like thimbles. If you have sewing room, threads, etc.

I've used one in a few different ways. On it's side, I stood it on my kitchen counter and put coffee cups in it. Right now it's standing on it's end in my bathroom, on the floor, with toilet tissue rolls stuffed in them. I buy $1 store t-paper specifically for this crate, since these rolls are smaller and fit better...more for the "decor" than storage.

You could also make a table with the crate on top , get an old table from habitat or goodwill and use it for the legs or you can buy legs at Lowe’s or Home Depot . Some antique stores or flea markets probably have them too .

Then add collectibles, shells , pretty rocks etc and then put a plexiglass or glass top .Id hinge it so you can swap out the “eye candy” .....if you know someone handy they can make a frame to put the glass in then it’s easier to put hinges on !

These are all great ideas ! Keep us posted when you decide what to do
