Here is a great Camellia resource! https://www.americancamellias.com/care-culture-resources/general-culture-requirements/planting-camellias
Val, Autumn is a really good time, unless it’s already freezing where you live. A bush or plant needs at least a month for the roots to start spreading enough for stability. And the little limbs need that long to start growing mature leaves. You will need to protect Camillias from freezing, frostbite, the weight of snow and sleet, and other weather hazards. But once you get the Camilla’s well-rooted, they can live for years. Best wishes, Val! ☺️
