Every manufacturer has on line instructions and typically a You Tube video. What brand did you purchase? Did the sales staff not tell you how to install or provide use and care instructions?

I would also follow the manufacturers directions and watch some videos on YouTube..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ph5WtpGWReU be sure to put the flooring in the house for a couple days to allow it to acclimate. be sure to leave a gap on the edges of the wall to allow for expansion and contraction. you can put shoe molding along the edges to hide that gap.
