The land lord won't install gutters at our apts. I'm in the middle of the "U" shape so my apt and the apt across the court yard have this everytime it rains as the side roof and bottom roof of the 'U' meet almost at our doors. Any idea how to fix the problem without costing an arm and leg?
the rain to the rt is actually coming off the corner roof. The one of left comes off in front of door
I would just install gutters and be done with it. Even if you have to absorb the cost yourself. Gutters are very cheap. As the landlord if you can do this...and do it...maybe split it with your neighbor.
'Just a note about the cantilever umbrella suggested by Shore grandmom: Although it will help to disperse the rain water away from the immediate door area, the small X pole stand will be nowhere heavy enough to prevent the whole umbrella from tipping over and flying away in the slightest wind. You will have to drill holes in the metal then down into the sidewalk, anchoring it with concrete pins.
Unfortunately, I do think think the landlord will allow you to do this.
I suggest a rainchain. It's decorative and will help to direct the downpour to where you want it to go. Many ideas are available on youtube. Good luck. Your garden is pretty.
Not sure what kind of relationship you have with landlord but you might consider calling the township building safety inspector. Having flooding water like the photos show directly in front of your door are a slip and fall safety risk that the property owner may be required to address. That said - if landlord refuses to install gutters and you want them, do it yourself.

Find a splash block that has a back to splash. Place it so it splashes away from you.
It can go anywhere you need it to be! Place a wedge or rock under it to direct the water where you want it to go. Every hardware store carries them.

Did you open the link I sent you? The pole isn't in the center of the umbrella. I figured that a center pole wouldn't work.
