Agapantha plants?

I read you should divide them once every three years. Just try to make sure each section gets a good amount of root with it. Another thing I read was surprising so be careful...Warning: Extreme caution should be taken when handling the Apaganthus plant, as it is poisonous if ingested and a skin irritant. Those with sensitive skin should wear gloves when handling the plant.

Hi there Kathy. We live in South Africa and divide ours every four to six years when they start forming big clumps. You can divide them in spring or in early autumn, after the plants have finished flowering. If you divide your agapanthus in spring, they are less likely to flower that year .
