I carved a watermelon out for the centerpiece of a graduation open house.

Items I use are, Fresh fruits, seedless grapes, A watermelon with seeds. They work best because they usually have a flat side. And one can of pineapple chunks in heavy syrup. (I'll tell you why later). TOOLS: Carving tools or a good knife. Melon Ball maker. Begin by washing your fruit & cutting large Strawberries in half..

On my clean, dry, watermelon, I wrote out the numbers 2018..This easily washes off after It's fully carved. And I keep the top in one solid piece to use as a lid later...

I use my pumpkin carving tools to carve out a bowl & around the numbers. Clean out the cavity & pat dry. It's not perfect, but pretty close..

Made my melon balls, separated seeds...

Filling my bowl with fresh fruits & pieces of pineapple...

I pour the pineapple juice on top of it all..I like how the juices mix while it sits. It makes a delicious flavor as it's being stirred & served. Of course you can use fresh pineapple if you prefer.

Ready to Serve! Looks so lovely as the centerpiece to any party..

The lid slips on & off easily...

This picture makes my mouth water for a fresh fruit salad...Thank you for viewing this project. I hope you try it.
