How to remove moisture?
Heard Charcoal helps purify the air, will normal hardwood charcoal for grills work? My cold room smells musty and wonder if this would work??

I would use the commercial product, Damp Rid. It pulls moisture out of the air AND leaves the room smelling fresh!
I put a dehumidifier in the corner. it works.
You'd may want to find the SOURCE of the moisture and address that -- instead of just putting a bandaid on the issue! Good luck!
yes, charcoal is charcoal.
Dollar Tree has the damp rid charcoal containers that do work. Change them about once a month. I live in a basement apartment in a 1970's house and a storage closet is musty but I use one of these in there and is much better. There is at least an inch of water every month in the container.
