Moss holds moisture and can be slippery whether it's growing on dirt (which becomes mud) or hard surface like brick, concrete, etc., because it detaches easily. When you walk upon it, the moss layer will slip off like a loose rug with the pressure of your feet. Moss can be pretty but keep it to vertical surfaces.

Thank you so much. Now I won't use it on my pavers.

I agree with M.M. Moss can get very slippery no matter what surface it is on.

Moss on a walkway can be deadly, and very costly, if you're sued...

I used to do my neighbors walk every year with the PNW rains. The former owner died when she hit her head in a fall.

I used bleach and water applied with a watering can, then used a still palm brush. Takes at least 2 applications to get it all.

Now I use Lily Miller Moss Out in the liquid hose application bottle.
