Easy, simmer white vinegar full strength and it will remove even fish odors!

I use Simple Green. It is not only a disinfectant, it is also a deodorizers, is non-toxic and smells good. It does not cover the odor, it negates it.

If smells of vinegar or cleaner are not what your are looking to smell although both dissipate rather quickly, essential oils works wonders, or you can simmer citrus peels in water n the stove top. Be sure that the clothing and apron are washed as soon as possible and dishes and all intensely washed and not sitting in either the sink or dishwasher, and table is wiped. Odd as it sounds I couldn’t figure out the awful smell in a utility laundry room, then it hit me in the face; it was the frying onion smell on an apron, and the clothing I had worn wen cooking!

I boil lemon or orange peels in water with a clove or two, or cinnamon, or vanilla, whatever strikes me. Works well. Also, be sure your ventilation filters aren't harboring the odors. After boiling the citrus peels, pour the liquid down the drain to freshen it too!

I light a candle for appx. 45 to 60 minutes

  • I also light a candle for cooking smells. It seems to neutralize the air.

Boil some water in a small pot , add some orange rind and cinnamon , let boil for a little while , scents the whole house ! You can use lemon and rosemary , when I peel an orange or use some fresh lemon, I will sometimes put the rinds in a zip lock bag & throw it in the freezer , for the times when I make fish...works great !!!
