pictured is a rubber insertion hole for a patio chair. This particular one is worn down & slides out. How can I fix or replace. Before my brother died he welded these chairs to last a lifetime so I’m keeping them.

The top slides into the bottom through this

The piece sits in this cylinder (they rock & swivel)

HI- I think if you had a picture of the chair and where this inserts it may be helpful. I think it is hard to picture this situation. GREAT that you are keeping the chairs.

Hi Bab, those are beautiful chairs and with the sentimental connection they are well worth preserving. If that insert were my problem I would start with an auto repair facility. It looks like it and the chairs are iron, if they can't repair it they sure could point you in the right direction to someone who could.

Hi. Take a good clear photograph of one that is not broken and do an image search on internet. Check local junkyards/scrap metal places...they might also help. Last idea is to take unbroken piece and create a mold and pour your own.
