My daughter did hers with epoxy
Hi Dora, I read this review a while ago about painted countertops after a year of use. They took a beating. I think the right paint is the key, but more than that you need the right sealer. I would consult your local paint shop to see what they recommend in such a high traffic area. https://www.apartmenttherapy.com/painted-laminate-countertops-results-221965 Hope that helps.
If you paint your countertops, invest in quality cutting boards and never ever cut anything directly on the counter. I have boards for meat, chicken, fish, fruits and vegetables. Will make your counter or any counter last longer and look good too.

I painted mine recently with Gianni kit and they look just like granite, and such a fun project. As with all counter tops, never put anything hot or cut anything on them.
