I don't think I have ever seen this tree, but the specs says it grows in "tropical and subtropical" so if you are not too far north in Florida, you should be able to grow one. I did see that it is a slow growing tree.
They are rather large trees...up to about 40' tall but I would be concerned about whether or not it is considered a nuisance plant...?? I could not find anything on whether or not the pods spread and germinate...???

Thank you all that let me know about the tamarind tree. Would love it but already have two huge avocado trees , a mango, and two anones(sour sop)
